Membership Categories:

  • Active membership - Available to on-line principals, assistant principals, and others employed in professional work related to the elementary and middle school principalship. Membership includes all CAS and NAESP benefits and services.
  • Associate membership - Available to college and university faculty members or non-administrators interested in elementary or middle school administration.
  • Aspiring Principal membership - available to teachers, graduate students, counselors, and others interested in pursuing a career in elementary or middle school administration. Membership may include the Research Service.
  • Emeritus membership - NAESP retired Active members. NAESP Emeritus membership includes membership in the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP). CAS Individual membership - available to retired principals, assistant principals, principals of non-member schools, aspiring principals, members of departments of education in Connecticut colleges and universities and members of the state department of education.
  • Retired membership - Available to all retired NAESP Active members, or current Emeritus members; members in this category receive Principal magazine, AARP membership, and some NAESP professional services and benefits.
