Wyoming Association of Elementary School Principals

Join both WAESP and NAESP today and gain the support you need and the professional advantages you deserve!

The mission of WAESP is to promote and support the improvement of education
for all Wyoming children through effective educational leadership.

Your WAESP/NAESP Membership Provides You with:

  • Consultation and assistance in job-related legal actions through NAESP's Legal Assistance for Principals program.
  • Regular WAESP newsletter and other materials on matters of special interest to Wyoming principals.
  • NAESP publications, including the award-winning Principals magazine, plus the newsletters: Communicator, Streamlined Seminar, Here's How Research Roundup, Focus on Finance, and Report to Parents.
  • Highly qualified state and national staff, including experienced executive directors.
  • Effective legislative programs and registered lobbyists.
  • An annual Winter Conference and workshops dealing with topics of interest to elementary and middle school educators and administrators.
  • Professional development workshops at the local, state, and national levels, including NAESP's annual convention and the National Principals Academy.
  • Membership in the American Student Council Association (ASCA), which helps enhance student leadership, citizenship, and self-esteem.
  • The prestigious National Distinguished Principal (NDP) Award, which is presented in Washington DC in September. NAESP recognizes NDP's from each state who have dedicated themselves to quality and excellence in education.
  • Recognition at the annual Winter Conference for Wyoming's retired principals.

WAESP/NAESP Joint Membership Categories
Active [$350] Open to on-line principals, assistant principals, and others employed in professional work related to the elementary and middle school principalship. This membership includes all NAESP and WAESP publications and services.
Aspiring
Principal [$85]
Available to teachers and students not eligible for Active Membership. (Practicing principals and assistant principals are not eligible for Aspiring Principal Membership.) Members in this category receive NAESP publications and services.
Associate [$145] Available to professors of education or non-administrators interested in elementary or middle school administration; members in this category receive NAESP publications and some professional services and benefits.
Institutional Active [$400] Available to all educational institutions. It includes one complete active membership for an individual and a duplicate set of member publications sent to the institution.
Retired [$80] Available to all retired NAESP Active members, or current Emeritus members; members in this category receive Principal magazine, AARP membership, and some NAESP professional services and benefits.

Emeritus [$108]
NAESP Only Categories

Available to all retired NAESP Active members and includes all NAESP programs and services, plus AARP membership.
Institutional
Subscription [$140]
Available to libraries only. Includes an annual subscription to NAESP's professional publications: Principal & Communicator.
